STUDENT HIGHLIGHT: Sweeny Inducts POWER SET Members

    On Monday, October 15th, eight young ladies from Sweeny High School were inducted into POWER SET for the 2012-2013 school year. The keynote speaker for the ceremony was Ms. Jeannie Hale, a reliability engineer with Phillips 66. Ms. Hale shared aspects of her job and provided inspiration for POWER SET members to explore career opportunities in areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) including meteorology, geology, and medicine. Friends, family, and community members were invited to a reception in the high school library immediately following the ceremony.
