Nuclear Power Institute Hosting 3rd Annual Science on Saturday (SOS)

    Science on Saturday (SOS) is an exciting science program for the young (K-6) and young at heart. The event will highlight fun and educational science experiments and demonstrations of atmospheric pressure, sensory stimulation, environmental effects, and much more. Students will learn through interactive, hands-on activities that include fun with polymers, magnets, and neurons, as well as everyday products and household materials. The program will be led by local educators and high school students sponsored by the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) and supported by Frito Lay, LyondellBasell, Phillips 66 Corporation, and South Texas Project Nuclear Power Company (STPNOC).

    Students, educators, parents, and community members are welcome.

    The program is free to attend and open to the public.

    When: Saturday, April 5, 2014
    Time: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    Where: Practice Athletic Field at Wharton High School in Wharton, TX
    Parking: Parking is free. Bus parking is in the high school parking lot across the street from the practice field.
