Annual Breakfast with POWER SET Mentors from STP

Every year, the STP mentors for POWER SET arrived bright and early to a potluck style breakfast cooked by members. December 3rd at this year's breakfast, mentors got to meet their individual mentees, as well as the groups that they will mentor. President Obama Nominates Dr. Kenneth L. Peddicord as Member of Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board

On June 13, 2014, President Barack Obama announced his intent to reappoint five members of the Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board to another four-year term. The reappointments include Dr. Kenneth L. Peddicord. Appointments to the board come from a list of nominees submitted by the National Academy of Sciences and do not need congressional approval. NRC Commissioner Bill Magwood Visits NPI

Commissioner William D. Magwood, IV from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission visited Texas A&M on August 3. The primary purpose of his visit was to address twenty-nine individuals from Kenya who were participating in a one-month workshop on nuclear energy organized by the A&M Nuclear Power Institute and sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Government of Kenya. NPI Hosts Summer 2012 E3 Preparation Workshop
