GRHS WIT Member is Top 2013 Graduate

The 2013 GRHS valedictorian is Ben Coppock. He was the WIT chapter president this school year. Ben has also been awarded a scholarship from the Society of Petroleum Engineers and will continue his education at Texas A&M in Chemical Engineering. Ben was the Region I Top Chemistry student in UIL Science which qualified him for State Science UIL Academic in Austin. ...

STPNOC WIN Chapter Awards Scholarships to WIT and POWER SET Members

In May, the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company WIN (Women in Nuclear) chapter presented $9,000 in scholarships to local students. Recipients included four WIT (Workforce Industry Training) and POWER SET (Powerful Opportunities for Women Eager and Ready for Science, Engineering, and Technology) members. The guest speaker was Site Vice President Tim Powell. In the past six years, WIN has presented 46 scholarships totaling $56,000. NPI Supporting Texas Math Teachers Headed to TAMU for Summer Research, E3: Enrichment Experiences in Engineering

The Dwight Look College of Engineering is hosting 14 Texas secondary school science and math teachers for a four-week summer residential engineering research experience on the Texas A&M University College Station campus during the month of June.
