"This organization has helped us realize the opportunities available in the STEM fields and has helped us promote the coursework and activities students need to be involved with in order to be successful in these highly competitive STEM fields. Requiring the students to have a high GPA as well as being enrolled in advanced level courses gives the younger students something to strive for in order to be involved in POWER SET. Having the students realize the level of achievement and behavior that the members of POWER SET have to reach helps us to encourage students to set high standards for themselves and makes them want to be successful." Brian Brooks, Sweeny High School Principal

"As a parent, it is so exciting for your kids to go and experience new things and learn more than you ever thought possible. The POWER SET organization has really encouraged and helped her to challenge herself and take advantage of these new experiences. I don't know that she would have had the determination to do all of the things that she has done, without the encouragement of the POWER SET sponsors and mentors. Thank you so much for making all of this possible for Lindsey!" Marilyn Phillips, PHS POWER SET parent
