NSSPI has Memorandum of Understanding in place with Mangalore University (MU) and two MU students are currently enrolled in its Nonproliferation M.S. program. NSSPI also sponsored a TAMU-NE student to present lectures on nuclear security engineering at MU in 2010.

In September 2010, a letter of cooperation was signed between TAMU and Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU).  NSSPI's collaboration with PDPU is intended to produce joint student research projects in nuclear security engineering in addition to the development of a Joint Nuclear Security Education Program at PDPU. NSSPI also sponsored a TAMU-NE student to present lectures on nuclear security engineering at PDPU in 2010.
